Xtreem Music

TURULVÉR is a new Hungarian band playing raw and epic Pagan Metal inspired in the traditions and the history of their country. I’m not sure, but I think this EP is conceptual, narrating the history of their country from 892 to 907. Lyrics are mostly written in Magyar so I can’t understand what they say. Their music is very epic, although they have known to be melodic without using keyboards or weird instruments, which is very positive I think. They are very good musicians, I’ve specially liked the way they play the bass guitar, which is very original and own. I don’t know very well how to compare them, as they are clearly a Pagan/Black Metal band yet they are in some way original. Maybe if you liked what bands like NEGURA BUNGET used to play some years ago you will like this as well. The same epic feeling, raw guitars, melodic bass guitar… I’m sure this guys will have many things to offer in the future. For the moment be sure to check out this demo CD, EP or whatever you want to call it.
